The cycle stops with you…

Therapy that helps you become the mother your daughter needs so she grows up with a different script.

INTERN THERAPIST FOR MOMS IN BOISE, IDAHO

You're watching your daughter grow up, and you desperately want to give her something different than what you were given but you’re not sure how.

This isn't about being a perfect mother. It's about becoming someone your daughter can genuinely learn from. Someone honest, someone healing, someone rewriting the script instead of repeating it.

Our work together will focus on the messy middles of life, including (but not limited to) mother/daughter relationships, intimate partner betrayal trauma, neurodivergence, and how (or if) your faith fits into it all.

Your daughter isn't learning how to survive hard things from what you tell her. She's learning from what she watches you do.

A lot of what shapes how we mother was passed down to us before we had any say in it. Those patterns often formed generations ago, sometimes for even good reasons. But they don't have to be the patterns you hand to her.

I don't believe your job is to be a flawless model of having it all together. I believe healing means becoming a mom who creates space for herself to be human. A mom who can struggle honestly and recover visibly because that's the actual blueprint she'll carry into her own life and her own relationships.

Nice to meet you!

I’m Emme (she/her) and my name is pronounced “em.” I'm a counseling intern working under the close supervision of a licensed clinician, and I'm also a mother to two teenage daughters, doing this exact work in my own life.

I specialize in the tender, complicated spaces:

  • Mother-daughter relationships that carry generations of unspoken patterns

  • Intimate partner betrayal that shakes the foundation of who we thought we were

  • Neurodivergence discovered later in life

  • The intersection where psychology meets lived theology

I'm not guiding you toward a version of healing I've only studied. I'm walking it myself, in real time, with two girls who are watching me do it and with a faith and a life I'm still actively rebuilding, right alongside you.

How we’ll work together

Think less clinical distance, more sitting across from one another doing the hard and holy work together. We'll look inward and backward at where your patterns as a mother and partner actually came from so you can mother forward with purpose instead of repeating what was handed to you. I'm committed to depth-oriented and somatic therapy because your mind, soul, and body often hold what words can't express.

I believe in both evidence-based practice and the mystery of the sacred. You can honor your anger and your faith. Healing is possible, and I'd be honored to walk alongside you as you find out what that looks like for your story.

This work may be a good fit for you if…

  • You're raising a daughter (or daughters) and want her to inherit something different than what you were handed

  • You want your daughter to see you be truly human so she learns how to be human herself

  • You want depth and honesty in this work, not a parenting script, and not a therapist who's only read about this from the outside

I'm not asking you to do anything I haven't done myself. My two teenage daughters are nearly grown and I’ve been doing this work since I first found out I was having a daughter. I’m still doing it, still getting it wrong sometimes and finding my way back. If that's the kind of company you want on this journey, I'd be honored to join you.

NOUN

the feeling one has on realizing that every other individual one sees has a life as full and real as one’s own, in which they are the central character and others, including oneself, have secondary or insignificant roles:

In a state of sonder, each of us is at once a hero, a supporting cast member, and an extra in overlapping stories.

She's watching you right now…

You don't have to have this figured out before you start.

You just have to be willing to become someone a little more honest than you were yesterday…for her, and for yourself.

I'd be honored to help you get there.
