This isn't the end of your story…

Therapy that helps you rebuild trust with yourself first so you can find your way back to a life that's actually yours.

INTERN THERAPIST FOR BETRAYAL TRAUMA IN BOISE, IDAHO

Something happened that shook the floor out from under everything you thought was true about your marriage, your future, maybe even your own judgment.

You keep replaying it, looking for the moment you should have known, the sign you missed. This isn't about finding what you missed. It's about grieving what you lost, rebuilding trust with yourself, and finding out who you are on the other side of this.

Our work together will focus on the messy middles of life, including (but not limited to) intimate partner betrayal trauma, mother-daughter relationships, late-diagnosed neurodivergence, and how (or if) your faith fits into it all.

Betrayal doesn't just break trust in the person who broke it. It breaks trust in your own perception — your gut, your instincts, the version of you who believed things were basically fine.

A lot of what you're feeling right now isn't overreaction. It's your body catching up to something your mind wasn't allowed to fully know yet. That doesn't mean you're broken. It means you're finally hearing what was true all along.

I don't believe your job is to heal quickly or gracefully so everyone else feels comfortable again. I believe healing means grieving on your own timeline, rebuilding trust with yourself first, and finding out what safety actually means to you now.

Nice to meet you!

I’m Emme (she/her) and my name is pronounced “em.” I'm a counseling intern working under the close supervision of a licensed clinician, and I understand betrayal from the inside, not just from a textbook.

I specialize in the tender, complicated spaces:

  • Intimate partner betrayal trauma that shakes the foundation of who we thought we were

  • Mother-daughter relationships that carry generations of unspoken patterns

  • Late-diagnosed neurodivergence

  • The intersection where psychology meets lived theology

I'm not guiding you toward a version of healing I've only studied. I've lived through betrayal myself, and I'm still doing the work of rebuilding trust in real time, right alongside you.

How we’ll work together

Think less clinical distance, more sitting across from one another doing the hard and holy work together. We'll look inward and backward at what this betrayal actually cost you, so you can move forward rebuilding trust with yourself instead of just waiting for the pain to pass. I'm committed to depth-oriented and somatic therapy because your mind, body, and nervous system often hold what your words haven't caught up to yet.

I believe in both evidence-based practice and the mystery of the sacred. You're allowed to feel furious and still hold onto your faith. Healing is possible, and I'd be honored to walk alongside you as you find out what that looks like for your story.

This work may be a good fit for you if…

  • You're navigating the aftermath of intimate partner betrayal and everyone around you wants you healed faster than you actually are

  • You no longer trust your own instincts and want to rebuild that trust from the ground up

  • You want to grieve what you lost, not just skip straight to "moving on"

  • You want depth and honesty in this work, not a timeline, and not a therapist who's only read about this from the outside

I'm not asking you to do anything I haven't done myself. I've lived through the wreckage, the slow rebuilding, and the ongoing work of trusting myself again. If that's the kind of company you want on this journey, I'd be honored to join you.

NOUN

the feeling one has on realizing that every other individual one sees has a life as full and real as one’s own, in which they are the central character and others, including oneself, have secondary or insignificant roles:

In a state of sonder, each of us is at once a hero, a supporting cast member, and an extra in overlapping stories.

You are not the wreckage…

You don't have to have this figured out before you start.

You just have to be willing to rebuild trust with yourself, one honest moment at a time. This is something just for you, not for anyone else's comfort with your timeline.

I'd be honored to help you start moving forward.
